In a nutshell, CTS Bridges were brilliant!

A private resident in Muker, North Yorkshire contacted us to say the old bridge that provided access over Straw Beck from his house to the village was rotten and required replacing.  We sent an engineer to site to discuss his requirements for the replacement and confirmed the price in a quotation which was quickly accepted.  We produced a detailed design for the clients approval and then commenced manufacture.

The bridge needed to carry a mains drainage pipe underneath so this was allowed for in the design of the bridge and scaffolding was erected to hold the pipe in place once the old bridge was removed.

The new bridge was brought to site on an articulated vehicle with a hiab that could off load the bridge close to the abutments.  The scaffold was used to launch the bridge onto the abutments and the mains pipe was secured in place under the bridge.  Some additional deck planks were provided to level the bridge to the existing path.  Another very successfull bridge installation carried out in a lovely part of the country and to the delight of the client.
